Handmade Pasta in Santa Rosa — Capriciano Osteria
Handmade pasta in Santa Rosa is a pillar of our kitchen, beside wood-fired pizza and fresh seafood, served at dinner from 5 PM six nights a week.
At Capriciano, pasta is far more than a side or a starting point — it is the soul of the Italian table. As an authentic Italian restaurant in Santa Rosa, our chefs roll, cut, and shape pasta fresh in our kitchen each morning, using semolina-rich doughs and traditional Italian techniques. From classic Lasagna to lemon-cream Ravioli, every plate is built to be lingered over, shared around the table, and paired with a glass from our Italian and California wine list. What Makes Our Pasta Special?

Why Choose Our Pasta?
Made Fresh Every Morning
Our pasta dough is prepared by hand each morning before service — never frozen, never shipped in. The result is texture and flavor you can only get when pasta is made the way it has been made in Italy: slowly, carefully, and with care.
Authentic Italian Tradition
From Sicilian chili to San Marzano tomatoes, from Wagyu Bolognese to handmade ravioli, our menu honors generations of Italian cooking. Every plate is sized for sharing and pairs naturally with a glass from our Italian and California wine list.
Handmade Pasta in Santa Rosa, Plate by Plate
Our kitchen cooks from Sicilian and coastal Italian traditions, and handmade pasta in Santa Rosa is where you taste that most directly. The sauces lean on San Marzano tomatoes, Calabrian chili, lemon, garlic, white wine and Parmigiano, and the seafood pasta brings clams and shrimp to the plate. Each dish can be matched with a glass from our Italian, Sonoma County and Napa Valley list, or with an Italian-style craft beer, and gluten-free or vegan pasta is available on request.

What pasta is on the dinner menu?
The pasta section holds Penne Rigate al Pomodoro with San Marzano tomatoes, garlic, basil and extra virgin olive oil; Ravioli al Limone with mushroom, caper and parsley in a lemon cream Parmigiano sauce; Spaghetti con Gamberi e Vongole with clams, shrimp, toasted garlic, chili, white wine and lemon; Rigatoni Mezzi with Wagyu Bolognese, San Marzano, ricotta and Calabrian chili; and a classic Lasagna layered with Bolognese and bechamel. Parmigiano appears in every one of them.
Do you have gluten-free or vegan pasta?
Yes. Gluten-free and vegan pasta are available on request, so ask your server when you order and mention any allergy when you book. Our kitchen and fryers are shared, which means we can’t guarantee that any dish is allergen-free, and we would rather tell you that plainly than promise too much. You’ll find more detail in our Allergen & Dietary Notice, and our team is happy to talk the menu through with you.
Is the pasta traditional Italian?
The cooking follows Sicilian and coastal Italian traditions, in a kitchen led by Chef Baki Bekci, our founder and executive chef. You can taste it in the Spaghetti con Gamberi e Vongole, where clams and shrimp meet toasted garlic, chili, white wine and parsley, and in the Calabrian chili that runs through the Rigatoni Mezzi. The Lasagna stays classic, layered with Bolognese, bechamel and parmigiano, and the Penne Rigate al Pomodoro keeps things simple.
